I am Justin Keating, and I came to Rogersville by way of Nashville and Chattanooga, TN. I was raised in Nashville and went to college in Chattanooga at UTC. While taking part in the United Methodist Student Ministry I heard my calling to become a pastor. I took the long way and started by working in a seating factory that supplied seats to the VW plant in Chattanooga. After a few years I started my studies at Asbury Theological Seminary.

I left the factory life to begin work in ministry 2016 and was appointed to my first church as an associate pastor. In 2017 I was appointed to a three-point charge in North Georgia. I have seen many ups and downs in ministry, but through it all I have learned God is faithful. In that time, I have found that I love teaching about Jesus and the Bible. I have developed a narrative style of preaching, and I love to hear people’s stories and help them to see when and where God has been present in their lives.

I met my wife Meredith while studying at UTC. We have been married since 2012 and we have two beautiful daughters. We like to go camping and be outside when we can. We really love to travel and hope to get to all 50 states together.

We are excited to be serving at First UMC Rogersville and look forward to years of ministry together.
